The Ted Arison Family Foundation's worldview is rooted in three Jewish values: charity, acts of loving kindness and TIKKUN OLAM (transformation of the world). The Ted Arison Family Foundation was established out of the Arison family's inner edict of giving back to society, and commitment to improving the human surroundings. The foundation provides funding for projects in the following categories:
In 2016, the foundation distributed $21,870,679 for grants. Previous awardees can be seen at https://www.arisonfoundation.com/en/content/grants.
There are no specific deadlines. There is an annual call to submit grant requests during the month of January, inviting organizations and nonprofits to apply for a grant. These requests are reviewed by the foundation's grant committee that convenes once a year to discuss and decide on the grants to be made.
Award amounts vary by proposal. The average range of awards is $50,000 to $100,000. Grants are up to $1,000,000.
