    Summary

    The New Hampshire Department of Educations (NHDOE) Career Development Bureau is seeking proposals for Incentive Grants awarded under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006.


    The mission of the Career Development Bureau is to promote career and technical education as a total educational philosophy for our state which will ensure that every citizen of New Hampshire graduates from high school ready and prepared for higher education and the world of work.


    This program seeks proposals that prioritize:

    1. Expanding Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities for students; or
    2. Developing and implementing robust career advising programs for grades 7-12; or
    3. Engaging in curriculum development, alignment, and evaluation so that pathways contain multiple entry and exit points AND rigorous and integrated content; or
    4. Designing and implementing pathway planning tools;
    5. Providing professional development opportunities related to fulfilling the needs for student success in CTE career pathway completion; or
    6. Purchasing equipment relative to fulfilling the needs for student success in CTE career pathway completion.

    Additional Information

    Funding for this grant will support the implementation of high-quality career pathways in order to increase the number of the following:

    • Students participating in Work-Based Learning opportunities and business and industry partners collaborating with CTE centers to offer WBL opportunities;
    • Middle school students and parents informed about career pathway options;
    • Students attaining completer status, as defined by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, to include the attainment of an industry recognized credential, if available.

  • Eligibility Details

    An eligible applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

    • Be a designated NH career and technical education center or an approved regional program, eligible to receive Perkins funds;
    • Be responsible, liable, and oversee financial, program, and post-award reporting requirements.

    Deadline Details

    The deadline to submit an application was June 1, 2018, by 3 p.m. A similar deadline is anticipated, annually.

    Award Details

    There is a total of $100,000 available from the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006. Awards will be made on a competitive basis and selection will be made by the NH DOE Career Development Bureau. Multiple proposals from any eligible recipient will be evaluated independently; the cumulative maximum approved amount per eligible recipient will not exceed $15,000.
